Кривая Филлипса с учетом ожиданий
Кривая Филлипса, измененная с учетом влияния ценовых ожиданий на увеличение номинальной заработной платы. Точка U* на графике показывает естественный уровень безработицы (см. Natural rate of unemployment), при котором темпы инфляции не меняются. Если государственные власти примут меры по сокращению безработицы ниже естественного уровня (U1), тогда инфляция РС1 на кривой Филлипса увеличится с уровня А до уровня B. Если предположить, что рост номинальной заработной платы превышает рост производительности на одного работника, тогда уровень безработицы возвращается к своему естественному уровню (точка С) уже на новой кривой Филлипса PC2, которая соответствует более высокому ожидаемому уровню инфляции. Новые попытки государства снизить уровень безработицы до показателя U1 неизбежно вызовут ускорение темпов инфляции до уровня D. И снова более высокий уровень зарплаты станет причиной возвращения уровня безработицы к состоянию естественного (точка Е) на еще одной кривой Филлипса PC3, соответствующей еще более высокому ожидаемому уровню инфляции. Чтобы сбить инфляцию, власти вынуждены принять меры по временному увеличению уровня безработицы выше естественного уровня (с точки Е до точки F на кривой PC3). Инфляционная спираль/спираль цен и заработной платы
Рост темпов инфляции, обусловленный взаимодействием двух факторов: ростом цен и увеличением факторных затрат. Ситуация развивается следующим образом. Резкий скачок цен на товары и услуги, вызванный ростом расходов на сырье, приводит к тому, что профсоюзы начинают требовать повышения зара- ботной платы. Если они добиваются своей цели, производители, чтобы сохранить уровень своей прибыли, вынуждены со временем повышать цены на свою продукцию. Тогда новый рост цен вновь приводит к пересмотру тарифных ставок оплаты труда и т.д. Таким образом, ситуация повторяется на новом витке спирали. См.
